Variety: 100% Sangiovese
The grapes come from the oldest estate vineyards situated approx. 400m above sea level, facing south and south-east. The soil is clayey and calcareous in nature. The low production yield is combined with good exposure and sustained by well ventilated, low temperature evenings promoting a healthy maturation of the bunch. Harvesting is done by hand in small boxes, then grape selection takes place on a sorting table in the vineyard.
