The T1x stock can also be fitted with many of the available T3x accessories such as coloured vertical pistol grips and wider fore-end grips.
The T1x offers a smooth stainless steel bolt so loading can be done quickly and effortlessly.
The barrel profile of the T1x has been designed with a crossover profile so that it has the benefit of heavy barrel accuracy without increased weight. The T1x weighs 2.4-2.6Kg depending on barrel length.
A major feature of the T1x action is that it has the same bedding surfaces and inlay footprint as the centerfire T3x rifles, meaning the T1x action can be installed on to many aftermarket stocks.
The T1x trigger mechanism is the same high-quality trigger unit offered in Tikka centerfire rifles. This zero-creep trigger will improve your accuracy and will make under-1 MOA groupings easy! And, the T1x comes with 10 round magazine in both calibers!
so basically my love for tikkas started all them years ago, but I was missing something I wanted a tikka in rim fire but at the time it wasn’t even thought of, after a long wait Sako/tikka announces the t1x mtr in 17hmr and 22lr so I went out and brought a 17 hmr and this gun is brilliant takes down Roos without a problem of course very accurate like all tikkas and Sakos, I love the gun so much because it feels is just like I’m using my big tikkas so a month later I went out and ordered another t1x and I am just ecstatic with both my new guns i am now a proud owner Of two original tikka t3s cambered in 25-06 and 223 and two t1x’s in both Calibers available and have a tikka t3x laminated stainless ordered in 22-250rem thank you tikka and Sako for making these amazing tools that never let me down
Highly recommend tikka they really are second to none
Debut for the T1x was what I had hoped for, the 22 rimfire showed exceptional accuracy on it's first night out with 43 pair of rabbits straight, headshot, then continued on for 75 pair. The T1x was reliable and the magazine fed well and consistently all night. Shots varied from 20mts to 70mts, I was not disappointed!
I base my appraisal on accuracy when I can take a rabbit sitting in a hole, showing me just the a small reflexion of the eye and the shot takes the rabbit just above the eye. As a professional shooter this rifle has the accuracy to meet my needs.
It was a long wait for the 22lr but well worth it very happy with it, the trigger is great just like my t3x 223 varmint and very accurate.
Overall this rifle far exceeded my expectations, especially in the inclement conditions. I look forward to putting this rifle through its paces over the following weeks, it is balanced very well, the trigger, although a tad heavy, breaks crisply and consistently every time. The Tikka t1x has inserted itself as a strong performer in the Rimfire Market, and i would happily reccomend it for field or competition use. Initial groups with CCI standard ammunition were about 15mm at 25m, and five shots through one hole with SK rifle match at 25m. At 50 metres in very gusty wind it put five shots in a horizontal string of about 20mm with only 10mm of vertical spread.
