The SO10 over-and-under is the deserving successor of the famous Beretta SO series hunting and competition shotguns that have earned their reputation as the most functional, elegant and exclusive over-and-unders in the world. Now the SO10 is regarded as a true modern classic, with the lines of its receiver redefining elegance in a hunting shotgun - so much so that to some clients, the action is perfect even without engraving.
Custom engraving and custom stock, fit and features
Make the SO10 EELL a statement of your personal taste by choosing its engraving from a variety of sophisticated scenes and styles - from floral motifs, to traditional games scenes, exotic subjects, fine English scrolls, mythological scenes, portraits and gold inlays - the only limit is practically your imagination. Master Engravers are true artists; capable of making your vision come to life. For its stock and fore-end, the Beretta SO10 EELL uses only the finest walnut briarwood, selected for its colour tones and sturdiness. Again, this is fully customisable so you determine the final dimensions, and the stock to receiver fit is completed with the utmost care. Side locks can be supplied in a removable version with sideplate levers, facilitating quick, easy inspection of the finely created firing mechanism.
Hand-finished action without screws or visible pins
The SO10 receiver is machined from a solid block of special high-resistance tri-alloy steel. Nothing in it is cast or welded, lending it a wonderful quality of trim solidity and perfect proportions. The receiver is then polished to a mirror finish, entirely by hand, inside and out. The sidelocks are hand-detachable and offer the possibility of looking at the inner workings of the action, as well as for engraving or embellishing the receiver even to the inside. Also, the SO10 action has no visible screws or pins, allowing the lines of the receiver to flow uninterrupted.
Exceptional quality for exceptional performance
Its performance and reliability is the result of the high quality materials used, individual craftsmanship, and the precision of manufacturing processes. Demi-bloc barrels are constructed of cold-hammer forged Boehler Antinit steel, ensuring perfect alignment of the tubes, exceptional strength, and long-lasting corrosion resistance. They are carefully tested and checked for ballistic performance and shot pattern consistency. The SO10 is the veritable pinnacle of shotgun craftsmanship and the crown jewel of any exclusive gun-room.
The pin- and screw-free receiver makes it the perfect surface for artistic engraving. Typically, SO10 engraving patterns require 200 or more hours of painstaking work by Beretta’s most talented Master Engravers.
The system features a rear longitudinal bolt operating in a central position (between the two tubes), making the opening of the barrels smooth, noiseless and minimising firing stress. Two additional lugs, further increase the strength of the locking system.
For its stock and fore-end, the SO10 EELL uses only the finest walnut briarwood, selected for its colour tones and sturdiness.
This is a fully customisable shotgun; but no matter what you choose, from everything from the hand-filed top rib, to the type of stock, you can be assured the finishing will be nothing but sheer perfection.
