For the first time, in their 150 year history, Franchi steps out of the norm to introduce their first bolt-action rifle: The Horizon, a project born of the idea of offering ergonomics, precision and durability in a price-conscience product.
With a glass-fibre reinforced Techno polymer stock, the Exclusive Style (XS) platform which is common with all the Franchi lines gives each shooter the feel of a perfect shape. The recoil pad with three different lengths, reduces up to 50% of the recoil, thanks to the TSA (Twin Shock Absorber) system.
With one action for the 243Rem, .270 Win, 30-06 Springfield and .308 Win calibres and another for the .300 Win Mag, Horizon offers the perfect calibres for an all-round rifle – whether hunting or target shooting.
The barrel, action and the three-front locking lug bolt, are machined from one solid block using the most modern technologies and the mounts for the scope are identical to the Remington 700 pattern. The cold hammer-forged chrome and molybdenum steel barrel is free floating and is 560mm long for all calibres, 610mm for the .300 Win Mag.
Horizon can be ordered with or without metallic sights and with a ½’ thread pitch threaded barrel. The direct trigger is adjustable from 900grams to 1,800grams.
For Franchi, The Horizon is an all new adventure, to discover the horizons whom only a few have discovered but are still a desire for the majority.
