Profile
The barrel profile of the T1x has been designed with a crossover profile so that it has the benefit of heavy barrel accuracy without increased weight. The T1x weighs 2.4-2.6Kg depending on barrel length.
Versatility
A major feature of the T1x action is that it has the same bedding surfaces and inlay footprint as the centerfire T3x rifles, meaning the T1x action can be installed on to many aftermarket stocks.

Debut for the T1x was what I had hoped for, the 22 rimfire showed exceptional accuracy on it's first night out with 43 pair of rabbits straight, headshot, then continued on for 75 pair. The T1x was reliable and the magazine fed well and consistently all night. Shots varied from 20mts to 70mts, I was not disappointed!
I base my appraisal on accuracy when I can take a rabbit sitting in a hole, showing me just the a small reflexion of the eye and the shot takes the rabbit just above the eye. As a professional shooter this rifle has the accuracy to meet my needs.
It was a long wait for the 22lr but well worth it very happy with it, the trigger is great just like my t3x 223 varmint and very accurate.
Overall this rifle far exceeded my expectations, especially in the inclement conditions. I look forward to putting this rifle through its paces over the following weeks, it is balanced very well, the trigger, although a tad heavy, breaks crisply and consistently every time. The Tikka t1x has inserted itself as a strong performer in the Rimfire Market, and i would happily reccomend it for field or competition use. Initial groups with CCI standard ammunition were about 15mm at 25m, and five shots through one hole with SK rifle match at 25m. At 50 metres in very gusty wind it put five shots in a horizontal string of about 20mm with only 10mm of vertical spread.
